Hand-DrawnMaps.co.uk is a small illustration studio capable of
big things. Passionate about drawing and painting, Hand Drawn Maps specialises
in maps and illustration for all occasions.
Lydia graduated in 2004 from Kent Institute of Art and Design with a Fine Art BA(Hons) and started her business in 2009 when a friend asked her to make a cute map as part of her wedding invitations. Over the years she has created all sorts of exciting maps, ranging from National Trust, regional tourist boards, hotels, story maps, fictional and historical maps, a commission for Lord Rothschild, and even a map for a Hollywood film!
Our Central London map was specially designed and created for Kisses from London by Lydia, as well as the London skyline on our envelopes.

Hand illustrated maps for weddings and business are now, of course, definitely a ‘thing’ and with more outlets for individual artists such as Etsy and NOTHS, there is an ever-increasing appetite for bespoke, high-quality hand-crafted design. It is an exciting time to be an artist!
